THE REMEMBRANCE WALK
Our community has been given the opportunity to establish a
very unique courtyard. Through the sale of both Memorial and
Community-Sponsored Bricks, the Chieftain Remembrance Walk will
become a permanent part of Tonganoxie High School. It will include
a walkway consisting of bricks purchased by community members
to commemorate a special date or sentiment, surrounded by bench
and table seating and landscaping, leading to a large “T”
of memorial bricks inscribed with the names of THS graduates,
teachers, board members, and administrators.

THE BRICKS
There are two types of bricks available for purchase to support
this project and memorialize a loved one.
The community-sponsored bricks, which will be placed in and around
the walkway, can include any wording up to three lines of fifteen
characters each. Feel free to dedicate them to your family, business,
or graduating class, or include a favorite verse or meaningful
date.
The memorial bricks, which will form the shape of a large T near
the THS East building, may also hold three lines of up to fifteen
characters each. These may be purchased in memory of any former
student, teacher, staff member, board member, or administrator
of the Tonganoxie School District.
Both types of bricks may be combined to hold more information,
or grouped by family. You may also purchase an additional brick
for your own use. |
PURCHASING
BRICKS
Each brick is $45, $20 of which is tax deductible. For purchase
information or downloadable forms.
Forms are also available at any Tonganoxie school or in many local
businesses.
